The Feast of St. Joseph is celebrated on March 19 each year, honoring St. Joseph, the husband of the Virgin Mary and the legal father of Jesus Christ.
St. Peter Parish invites volunteers to help make our St. Joseph’s Day celebration a meaningful and joyful event. Opportunities to serve include donating food, funds, or supplies, assisting with food preparation, helping with setup and presentation of the St. Joseph’s Table, and supporting the event and helping serve the meal.
On the morning of the celebration, a member of our clergy will lead a special prayer and blessing before the feast, and the food will be shared and enjoyed by all who attend. Your time, talent, and generosity help us honor St. Joseph through prayer, fellowship, and community. Please complete the volunteer form below to indicate how you would like to help, and a member of the team will contact you with additional details.
St. Joseph’s Day, also known as the Solemnity of St. Joseph, is a significant feast in the Christian calendar, particularly in the Catholic Church. It commemorates the life and virtues of St. Joseph, who is recognized as a model of fatherhood, humility, and obedience to God. The feast day has been celebrated since the 10th century and was officially established in the Roman Rite by Pope Pius V in 1570.
