St. Peter School Gala – A Night at the Kentucky Derby

St. Peter School was delighted to welcome guests to this year’s Gala celebration Saturday May 2nd, 2026 with a festive Kentucky Derby theme that brought elegance, excitement, and community spirit together for a truly memorable evening.

Guests arrived dressed in their Derby best and enjoyed an evening filled with fellowship, laughter, and celebration while watching the live airing of the Kentucky Derby. Many attendees embraced the spirit of the occasion with beautiful hats, colorful attire, and classic Derby fashion — especially Michael and Vicki Pleus, who truly stood out and added to the fun and festive atmosphere of the evening.

The atmosphere was vibrant as guests participated in our popular wine pull, explored an incredible selection of raffle prizes, and bid on many exciting auction items generously donated in support of our school.

A special highlight of the evening was the presence of our new principal, Al Chromy, who was warmly welcomed by our St. Peter School family. Mr. Chromy introduced his wife, Laurie, and shared more about their beautiful family. Together, they are the proud parents of five children—Paige, Roz, Annie Kate, Amelia, and Hudson—and grandparents to four: Molly, Teddy, Turner, and Charlie. Teddy is currently a kindergarten student at St. Peter School, and we are especially delighted to already share this meaningful family connection within our school community. The Chromy family also shared the joyful news that another grandchild will soon be welcomed into their growing family.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of faith, fellowship, and the strong spirit of community that continues to make St. Peter School so special.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported this wonderful event. Your generosity and dedication help ensure that St. Peter School continues to grow and thrive for generations to come.

Thank you for making this year’s Kentucky Derby Gala such a tremendous success!
