Altar servers can be trained via training classes, viewing and instructional DVD or by shadowing experienced servers during a Mass.
Each altar server is scheduled to serve once every two weeks at the weekend Masses on a rotating Mass time schedule. Altar servers also serve on holy days, funerals, and other liturgical events as scheduled by the altar server coordinator.
