St Peter Catholic Church is over 125 years young. We eagerly and optimistically look to our future with hope thanks to the hard work, prayers and sacrifices of those that have gone before us. We have made a commitment to reach our youth. We strive to accomplish this mission through our wonderful Catholic grade school, Antioch youth ministry, multiple summer camps and two Sunday youth liturgies. We want all our youth to know and love Christ. We are not only committed to serving the youth here in DeLand, but also in our supportive missions in the Philippines, our orphanage in the Congo and our sister parish in Honduras. Mission: Forming deeply committed Catholics living the gospel…
St. Peter’s continues to have a heart for the poor. We serve those in need through our partnership with the Good Samaritan Health and Dental clinic, Visitation House our home for single pregnant women and our attentiveness to the needy in our area through Habitat for Humanity, Adopt a block, food pantry and our outreach to the homeless. We are a perpetual adoration church. We believe that all things are possible through prayer. We live the life of stewardship giving of our time, talent and treasure to the God who has so blest us. It is our desire that you will sense the presence of God inside the walls of St Peter.
We are growing and we invite you to grow with us. We remain a faithful Catholic community serving both our Anglo and Hispanic communities. God is certainly favoring us. It is a great time to be part of our community.
