Al Chromy
Dear Faithful of St. Peter Parish, March 29, 2026
Grace and Peace to you in Christ.

It is with great joy and gratitude that I share the exciting news of the appointment of our new Principal, Mr. Al Chromy.
Mr. Chromy brings with him a wealth of leadership experience rooted in both faithful service and a deep commitment to Catholic education. After serving 25 years in the United States Air Force—where he specialized in educational environments and held roles in Space and Missile Operations, the Air Force Academy, West Point, and Air Force ROTC—he discerned a call to continue serving through Catholic schools.
Following his military career, Mr. Chromy served as Director of Admissions at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and most recently as Principal of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he faithfully led for the past ten years.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Arts in Education from Lesley University, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Chromy and his wife, Laurie, are the proud parents of five children—Paige, Roz, Annie Kate, Amelia, and Hudson—and grandparents to four: Molly, Teddy (a current St. Peter kindergarten student), Turner, and Charlie. We are especially delighted to already have a family connection within our school community.
Guided by Pope Francis’ Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel), Mr. Chromy embraces the call for Catholic schools to be vibrant, evangelizing communities. He is a collaborative leader dedicated to strengthening faith formation, fostering academic excellence, supporting our faculty and staff, and building strong partnerships with families. His vision is to cultivate a culture where every child shines with the light of Christ.
I am confident that Mr. Chromy’s leadership, faith, and experience will be a tremendous blessing to our school and parish. As we welcome him, I invite you to keep him and his family in your prayers as they begin this new chapter with us.
May God continue to bless our St. Peter Catholic School community.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Gilbert Medina
