Becoming Catholic/RCIA
(The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Description: This is a Faith Journey for anyone interested in becoming Catholic. A wonderful way to share your faith may be to become a team member or a sponsor for a candidate.
Experience Needed: Ministers must be fingerprinted through the Diocese and certified in religious education.
Frequency of Service: Every week from September to Pentecost Sunday for 2 to 3 hours. Participants leave in the middle of the 11 AM mass and usually meet until about 12:30 p.m. The curriculum is broken into two segments — thirty minutes is devoted to the discussion of Scripture, and one hour is a lesson in the Catholic faith.
