Mission Statement: St. Peter is blessed to be a Perpetual Adoration parish. There is someone present at our Eucharistic Adoration chapel 7-days a week, 24-hours a day. It is the life source of our parish. We always welcome new adorers. If you are interested, please contact Kathleen Gibbons and she will schedule you for your personal hour with the Lord. The gift requires only one-hour a week. Come experience the peace and presence of our Lord Jesus. 2-4-1-5

Description: To attend one hour weekly at the Adoration Chapel at the hour of their choice.

“The truest sign that the Spirit is drawing us along, that it is time to take the next step, is that we have come to appreciate being alone in quiet, loving awareness of God’s Presence, without need to justify ourselves that it is okay not too be caught up in our own busyness’, feel guilty, or by reviving methods of prayer and distracting images in order to be busy. This may have served us well but at this particular moment may not be needed. Giving yourself permission to sit quiet in the Presence of our Lord is truly “OKAY”. The more that you become accustomed to this more profound calmness of spirit, the more your knowledge and love of God will grow, you will know a deeper peace, a more lasting joy. Time Spent With God Needs No Justification. As the night descends remind me again that the soul that walks in love neither rests nor grows tired. It is not always easy to come to this quiet time and think only of You. Laziness overtakes my soul. I drag my feet. I am tired, a part of me wants nothing more than to rest, and find peace where I am. Deepen my desire to be alone in quiet, loving awareness of Your Presence. I need You to remind me this night that my goal is not here, it is the dark at the top of the stairs. Please, Lord, let me leave my weariness behind, remembering why I am here and what prompted me to take my first step toward You. Descend on my soul now like a river of peace to take away my uncertainties, my fear of the dark.” (St John of the Cross)

He Whom the mind cannot grasp, the heart can embrace. (The Cloud Of Unknowing)
